About AIC – Sarah Reilley

Sarah Reilley

Sarah Reilley has a BSEd English and taught middle school English/Language Arts until being diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency.

In her path to diagnosis, Sarah spent more than a decade searching for answers as to why she was experiencing such intense fatigue, and seemed to be unwell frequently. Doctors brushed her off until she finally asked to see the lab work they’d drawn, and found that her cortisol had been undetectable, yet the doctor told her it was “no big deal.” It was another year before she would find her diagnosis.

Currently, Sarah spends her time advocating for patients with adrenal insufficiency, and their caregivers. She has two children, one of whom also has adrenal insufficiency. A writer as well, she hosts a blog “Spoons and Adrenals” for AI awareness, and recently finished her first fiction manuscript.
